Integrated planning & reporting

Short session (1-2 hours) to support your councillors and/or staff to better understand the IP&R framework. The session will introduce each element of the framework and describe its role and purpose, and assist councillors and staff to understand their responsibilities in relation to the framework’s implementation.

The session focuses on ensuring participants leave with a clear understanding of “why IP&R” and its relationship to them – it enables opportunities for questions, debate and discussion.

This session can stand alone, but is an ideal introduction or precursor to the other IP&R packages.

This package offers an independent expert analysis of your council’s suite of IP&R documents and provides a written report which identifies:

• examples of better practice in your documents
• how your documents can be enhanced to better align with the intent of the IP&R legislation
• how effectively the documents have been integrated, and how this may be enhanced
• suggested actions for your council’s future IP&R practice.

Your council may complement this desktop analysis with a follow-up discussion on site to plan for implementing the suggested actions arising from the review.

This package may also be a useful precursor activity to the ‘Planning for good IP&R outcomes’ package.

This package offers a one-day program which focuses on planning your council’s ongoing IP&R journey. It will draw together key people from across your council and leave you with a clear understanding of who will do what, and when, to achieve robust IP&R outcomes.

This package provides benefits at any stage of the IP&R cycle, ensuring your council is appropriately prepared for its engagement, planning, review and reporting activities.

The day is interactive, includes the critical review of your organisation’s existing IP&R documents, and considers how to enhance and embed the IP&R culture in your council.

The focus is on achieving positive and sustainable organisation and community outcomes.
